Mizerabilii este adaptarea pentru marele ecran a spectacolului muzical bazat la rândul lui pe romanul cu același nume scris de Victor Hugo. Stephane, proaspăt mutat din Cherbourg, se alătură brigăzii anti-criminalitate din Montfermeil, într-un cartier problematic din suburbiile Parisului, locul unde se petrece, de altfel, și acțiunea romanului “Mizerabilii”, scris de Victor Hugo.
